It’s been a long journey since the initial prototype of Delta 78: O Passageiro was uploaded here on itch.io — and today, we’re incredibly excited to finally share the biggest update in the history of the project. This devlog marks a new chapter, as we reveal major improvements in visuals, gameplay, story content, and a huge milestone for our team: Delta 78 is coming to Steam next month.

Let’s dive into what’s new:

🌌 New Visual Identity We’ve completely revamped the graphical style of Delta 78. Every environment, character, and interface element has been reworked to support a darker, more immersive tone inspired by sci-fi and modern indie masterpieces. Some highlights include:

🚨 Brand new tilemaps and lighting effects

🧪 Redesigned interiors for labs, corridors, and terminals

📺 CRT-style shaders for that retro sci-fi touch

👤 Improved character sprites and animations

Everything is now more atmospheric, polished, and intense — drawing players deeper into the mystery aboard the Delta-78 station.

🕹️ New Mechanics & Gameplay Features Our focus has shifted heavily toward interactivity and player choice. We’ve introduced several new mechanics that enhance both the narrative depth and the survival gameplay:

🧠 Memory Minigames: Binary and grid-based puzzles test your memory and observation under pressure.

🔊 Stealth Sequences: Avoid a massive, sound-sensitive creature by walking slowly or hiding.

💬 Interactive Dialogue System: Choices matter. Unlock different outcomes, secrets, and background lore based on your decisions.

Each new system ties into the story and environment in meaningful ways, adding replayability and tension.

📖 Expanding the Lore Narrative is one of the pillars of Delta 78. In this update, we’ve added:

📧 Terminal Network: Access logs, e-mails from Julie Marie, research data, and distress messages sent to Earth.

🧬 Backstory for Miller: Why was he left behind? What connects him to Julie and the creature?

📜 Multi-branch storylines: Your actions will shape Miller’s fate and the fate of what remains of the crew.

Every terminal you find tells more than just backstory — it’s a piece of the larger puzzle.

🛠️ Rebuilt with Steam Launch in Sight After months of rebuilding the engine and improving core systems, we’re thrilled to announce:

Delta 78: O Passageiro will launch on Steam in July 2025!
